The Doña Ana County Flood Commission Office and the City of Las Cruces Floodplain Administration Office, in conjunction with H2O Partners, are co-sponsoring a free seminar regarding the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

The event will be moderated by NFIP expert Dorothy Martinez of H20 Partners. The seminar will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in Room 1-113 of the Doña Ana County Government Center in Las Cruces.
Two sessions will be facilitated to target specific audiences. The morning session, from 9 a.m. to noon, will focus on NFIP material and is intended for insurance agents, engineers, architects, surveyors, community officials, certified floodplain managers and other interested parties. The afternoon session, from 2-4 p.m., will focus on mandatory lender requirements and is intended for banks, credit unions, mortgage companies, real estate officials, title companies, certified floodplain mangers and other interested parties.

Continuing-education credits will be awarded to qualifying attendees.
