On February 11, 2010, The Most Reverend Ricardo Ramírez, C.S.B., Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces, formally blessed the new All Saints Catholic School near the grounds of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Roswell.
Mass was celebrated in the gathering area of the school before a capacity crowd of students, parents, and parishioners from throughout the Roswell community. Concelebrant at the liturgy was Fr. Bill McCann, pastor of Assumption Parish, assisted by Deacon Howard Herring.
Following the Mass, Bishop Ramírez blessed each room of the new facility, as well as the students of All Saints School who had already resumed their classroom studies.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces celebrates the opening of this new Catholic school at a time when, throughout the United States, many dioceses are in the process of closing their parochial schools. In that light, the Diocese congratulates the Roswell Catholic community for its remarkable efforts in fulfilling their long-standing dream of a quality structure to house a growing student body.
